  1. Wow, the vehicles are getting bigger. How old are the students who learn to drive these vehicles? What else do they learn about?
In Australia if you wish to learn to drive a big vehicle you need to go to a private driving school. There are not many courses in our VET schools that provide these lessons.

  2. OK! our students are between 17-20 when they begin to drive these heavy trucks. They will also learn allmost everything they need for their career as professional drivers.

  4. In Australia students learn to drive trucks in private companies or through the Road Traffic Authority. This is different to Sweden. Also big companies, like mining companies, train their own drivers and assess them. How do you assess your student in Sweden?

    1. The teachers who are professional driving instructors will assess the student after each lesson. Sometimes it will be many hours on "repeat".

  5. How long are lessons? Are there more than one student at a time?

    1. In common I have 2 students at the same time. They will drive for 2 hours every day for 2 weeks. Than they have "ordinary school" for 2 weeks, than driving lessons for 2 weeks and so on.
